We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technologist to support the Quality Assurance functions for factory and sourced products. In this role, you will provide QA support across different shifts/teams to help drive Hotter quality culture and continuous improvement programs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Actively providing QA support by being ‘visible’ to teams e.g. supporting shifts, different teams
  • Working closely with the operations teams to identify any variations in quality standards and to proactively mitigate risk and find solution
  • Liaising with production teams regarding faults and rejects to actively seek first time right (RFT) solutions
  • Monitoring the quality of footwear from moulding through to packing lines
  • Completing random quality assurance tests to verify quality standards
  • Completing Gore testing to confirm requirements to the standard are met, in the event of failure to lead the investigation to determine root cause.
  • Supporting the development of ISO 9001 Quality Management System by developing/writing ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ in line with document control and ISO requirements
  • Observing quality procedures and deal with any instances of non-conformance
  • Supporting internal and external stakeholders with the implementation of CAPA programs to ensure long term solutions to non-conformances
  • Actively seeking improvement opportunities
  • Being part of Hotter internal audit team

Skills, Know-How, and Experience:

  • Previous QA in Footwear manufacturing environment would be an advantage, however not essential for this role
  • Experience with Microsoft programmes such as word, excel, PowerPoint is essential
  • Data analysis and report writing
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Internal auditor qualification and experience
  • Continuous Improvement ‘LEAN’ training
